Generous customers donated almost £1,000 to charity in a special haircut session at a Cosham barbers
Staff at Ian Henry in Spur Road worked free of charge for three hours on Christmas Day.
Bev Steele, Zoe Paffett and Lucy Babbage were kept busy as customers flocked for a seasonal haircut.
Together they raised £960 for The Samaritans and for Papyrus, a charity which works with young people in an effort to help reduce suicides.
Bev said : ‘We’re so grateful to everyone who supported us.
‘And we were thrilled by a little boy called Harvey who arrived and told us he had collected money from friends and had £19 to donate in return for his haircut.’
