ORGANISERS of a charity cricket match are hoping to beat last year’s fundraising total.

Anders Hall and Jubilee Park in Waterlooville will be hosting a cricket match to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Matt Pullinger, one of the organisers, said: ‘This is the second year we have decided to hold a cricket match.

‘Last year it was a private event with only friends and family but we still raised £750 so we hope to beat that this year as everyone is welcome.

‘We have close links with the charity so we really want to raise as much as possible.’

The match is on August 26 and starts at 12.30pm.

Anders Hall will also have a range of activities from 11am.
