A FUNDRAISER held at a pub in Gosport has raised more than £1,200.

Organisers put on the night at The Vine in Stoke Road, Gosport, for the British Heart Foundation.

They hope to increase that amount up to £2,000.

Asda in Gosport and Fareham donated prizes for the raffle, along with Morrisons, The Range, and staff from Leigh Park housing office.

Gosport’s mayor, Councillor John Beavis, showed his support and attended the event earlier this month.

A seven-a-side football match at Gosport Leisure Centre, also helped to up the total.

As well as the football match, there was also hair shaving, leg, chest and back waxing.

Even Rob Frampton, a competitor for Britain’s Strongest Man attended.

There was also a tombola, cake stall and face painting to keep people entertained.
