PUB customers will be treated to a day of fun in aid of worthy causes this summer.

Visitors to Mr Pickwick, in Milton Road, Milton will compete in poker, pool and dart tournaments and tuck into a barbecue on July 22.

The day has been set up by the pub and Jamie McClelland, who lives in Bramble Road, Southsea, to raise cash for Help for Heroes and the Tom Prince Cancer Trust.

There will be a raffle with prizes, face painting, and table football.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails will be served. Entry costs £1 per person.

Mr McClelland said: ‘This is about bringing the community together, supporting a pub and raising money for two excellent charities.’
