FAREHAM-based social care charity You has been named the 12th best company to work for in the public and charity sector in the country.

Last year the charity came 96th on the same Best Companies list, run by The Sunday Times. The award is based on staff feedback.

Liz Page, director of People and Learning at You, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to come 12th on the Best Companies list.

‘We were in 96th position last year and were hopeful we would achieve a better result this year, but accomplishing 12th position was beyond our wildest expectations.’

You, which has other branches across the south, provides services to people who are homeless, those with a mental illness or a learning disability.

It also helps ex-offenders and women and children surviving domestic violence.
