Charity looking for volunteers for new local service

MARIE Curie has launched a new service in the Portsmouth area to help match trained volunteers with people living with a terminal illness.

As part of the Helper service volunteers will give three hours a week to offer a friendly ear and talk through any worries.

It has been available in other parts of the country but this ids the first time people in the Portsmouth area will be able to benefit.
