MAGICAL makeovers and brilliant beauty tips were the order of the day as Debenhams in Southsea held a fundraising event.

More than £1,100 was raised for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) as the Palmerston Road store welcomed ladies across the city.

Customers entered a raffle and lucky dips, and enjoyed makeovers in exchange for a donation.

Charity volunteers were on hand with buckets to collect donations from customers and raise awareness of the disease.

Clare Woolley, beauty supervisor, said: ‘We had a fantastic day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

‘We raised a huge amount of money for MNDA as well as awareness.’
