A NEW charity superstore opens in Southsea next week to raise cash for people with a painful skin condition.

The new DEBRA Furniture and Electrical Charity Superstore, in Elm Grove, Southsea, will open on Wednesday, November 21 at 11am.

The national DEBRA charity supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa, which is a condition that causes skin to blister and shear at the just slightest touch.

The opening of the store, which will sell second-hand furniture and electrical items, will play host to a range of entertainment on the day, including a town crier and a prize draw.

It will also be attended by a figure from the past, King Henry VIII, along with members of the Mary Rose Trust.

To find out more about donating or volunteering at the store, call (023) 92 291 574.
