A LIFE-SAVING charity has taken residence in an empty shop.

Basics Hampshire is made up of hospital doctors, GPs and nurses who give up their free time and volunteer at almost 2,000 emergencies across Hampshire every year.

Fundraiser Lynne Caine and her team have been given a shop belonging to Angel Radio in the North Street Arcade, Havant, until August 5.

The shop will sell good quality second hand goods, including clothes and books.

The charity’s doctors can anaesthetise patients and provide a wider range of drugs than paramedics at emergencies.
