A PUB quiz team will be seen battling it out on the BBC show Eggheads.

Six customers from The Bell Inn, Broyle Road, Chichester, are a regular success in quiz tournaments so decided to enter the show.

After an audition, The Bell Boys team flew to Glasgow for a recording of the programme at BBC Scotland.

Although they are sworn to secrecy over the result, team captain Bob Wilson said: ‘The production team described it as an “epic contest and titanic struggle, and should be well worth watching regardless of the result” so we were very pleased.’

It will be screened tomorrow on BBC2 at 6pm.

And The Bell Inn will be showing the programme live.

The Bell Inn will also be holding a Pub versus The Bell Boys challenge with all entrance fees being donated to St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

There will be a special one-off jackpot prize. St Wilfrid’s Hospice, in Chichester, is the pub’s charity of choice.
