A child was stretchered to hospital after a crash.

Paramedics in a rapid response car and an ambulance were called after a black

Yamaha moped and a push bike collided on Milton Road outside St Mary's Hospital at 3.17pm yesterday.

A nurse happened to be at the scene of the accident at the time and attended to the 15-year old boy, who was bleeding from cuts to his mouth.

The teenager was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, for further assessment and care.

Two roads were closed for about 40 minutes as a result of the accident, including the left turn from Rodney Road and the right turn from Velder Road both into Milton Road North.
