A CHILD has been left with life-threatening injuries after a crash in Wickham.

Officers and ambulance crews were called to the A32 Wickham Road at around 10.55am today.

Three vehicles had crashed at the junction with Forest Lane.

Both the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Surrey Air Ambulance were called to the scene.

A young child was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The road was closed in both directions for several hours and diversions set up.

A 54-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
