FIREFIGHTERS rescued two children trapped in a flat.

A crew from Gosport fire station used an axe to break down a door in Mumby Road, Gosport at around 3pm.

There was no fire but the children were trapped inside.

Meanwhile, a crew from Fareham fire station was sent to Acacia Lodge, Trinity Street, Fareham, as three people were stuck in a lift.

The crew managed to rescue the people after they were called out at around 4pm.
