Chrildren in Portsmouth hospital get a visit from fire officers

CHILDREN were all smiles as Cosham Fire Station hosted children from Queen Alexandra Hospital to wish them a Merry Christmas.

Youngsters were thrown a party by firefighters who have raised money throughout the year and were also given presents.

There was also the chance to sit behind the wheel of a fire engine.

Firefighter Jeff Groom said: ‘We do this every year and it is a way to make the children happy.

‘It’s nice to be able to put a smile on the children’s faces at Christmas.

‘For those who could not make it, we’ll be taking their presents up to the hospital in an engine.’
