Christmas lights switch-on cancelled due to bad weather

PLANNED events for tonight's Christmas lights switch on in Cosham have been cancelled.

Theatre Arts Starlight and Stardust students had been due to perform tonight in High Street, Cosham.

But due to high wind and rain Portsmouth City Council has said it cannot put up a stage as planned.

The lights will still be turned on but there will be no entertainment.

The events were due to run from 4pm-6pm.
