THOUSANDS of pounds will be donated to a children’s charity following an Easter full of fundraising.

The Sacred Heart Church, in Fareham, raised £2,623 during different charity events over Lent and Easter for Let the Children Live.

The charity helps children living in poverty and around violence on the streets in Columbia.

Some of the fundraisers held by the church included a Lenten Breakfast which raised £750, a tea and coffee morning which made £220 and chocolate tombola stall which raised £218.
