A CHURCH is holding a week of events next month to promote its work.

The week, from July 7 to 15, at West End Chapel in St Annes Grove, Fareham, begins with a barbecue on Saturday at 5.30pm.

And, as the week is being hosted by a Gospel Literature Outreach Team from Johnstone, Scotland, there will be a Scottish-themed family service on Sunday morning at 10am.

Among the other events, there will be an evening with Pompey legend Linvoy Primus on the Tuesday at 8pm and a pub-style quiz on the Thursday at 8pm.

Throughout the week there will be a Go for Gold after-school club for five to 11-year-olds, and on the final Saturday there will be a family fun day from 11am to 2pm

On July 15, it ends with an Olympic themed all-age family service at 10am as the Olympic torch passes through Fareham.

All events are free, except the quiz which is £1 to enter, and all money will go to the Fareham-based cerebral palsy charity The Rainbow Centre.
