City swimming club's member swims to Invictus gold

A PORTSMOUTH swimming club has praised one of its members for winning four gold medals and a bronze at this year's Invictus Games.

Ex-RAF gunner Mike Goody is part of the Portsmouth Northsea and swam to victory in the competition for injured servicemen.

He had been training for six weeks with the club, working with coach Paul Hogg.

A club spokesman said they were ‘proud’ of the Felpham veteran’s efforts.
