THE MAYOR of Havant will wave off hundreds of vintage motors for his annual classic vehicle run.

Councillor Ken Smith will start the run at 10am tomorrow from the Public Service Plaza.

There will be cars and motorbikes and all those taking part will be raising money for good causes, including The Rowans Hospice.

Vehicles assemble at 9.30am in the car park and should complete the journey through countryside to the Peter Ashley Activity Centre, at Fort Purbrook by midday.

Once they arrive they will enjoy a family fun day which is open to all participants and members of the public.

Picnics are welcome and there will be live music.

Last year’s run, which included cars such as an Austin Healey, Morris, Standards and Bentleys, raised £4,800 for charities.

Entry is free but donations are appreciated.
