HAVANT Chamber Orchestra will perform a show spanning more than 200 years and classical works from four countries.

The orchestra will appear at Ferneham Hall, Osborn Road, Fareham on Saturday at 7.30pm.

The concert will begin with Italian Rossini’s overture to his opera The Italian Girl in Algiers.

That will be followed by Purcell’s The Married Beau and the first half will conclude with Beethoven’s Second Piano Concerto.

The final work in the programme will be the Symphony in D by the Bohemian composer Vorisek.

Before the concert there will be a 30-minute talk at 6.30pm by Angela Blackwell, head of music at Portsmouth High School for Girls and a member of HCO.

There will be a musical interlude by local students until 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £7 to £18 with concessions for students and children and are on sale now at the box office on 01329 231942 and at the door.
