Climbing wall and fencing part of kids arena at Victorious Festival
ALONGSIDE top headline acts, Victorious Festival is now offering a kids arena for this year's event.
During the two-day festival, being held on August bank holiday weekend, families will be able to enjoy a range of activities and games.
Kingswood, an outdoor activity centre, will be bringing their most popular attractions to Southsea.
While parents are enjoying music from the likes of headline acts Stereophonics, Olly Murs, Rita Ora and Madness, the children can have fun with a 60ft climbing wall, fencing, a Bushcraft stall and a surf board challenge.
Alec Bates, centre manager at Kingswood Isle of Wight, said: ‘Combining exhilarating activities with a lively and friendly atmosphere is what we do best.
‘What better way to show off all that we have on offer than bringing a touch of Kingswood outside adventure to Victorious Festival.
‘It’s guaranteed to be a great day out for big and little kids.’
As well as the activities Kingswood, which has centres and summer camps across the UK, will set a series of challenges throughout the day for children to take part in.
The kids arena will also have performances from CBeebies star, Mr Bloom and story time with cartoon characters Peppa Pig and George.
Popular characters from Paw Patrol will be available for pictures as will princesses from The SH Imagination Princesses.
A University of Portsmouth science tent, performances by Abstract Dance Troop, a Nerf area and a colouring tent will also be in the arena.
Victorious Festival is returning to Southsea from August 25 to August 27. This year is the first time the event is introducing a Friday night event headlined by Madness.
Saturday and Sunday will then see a range of acts take to the Common Stage and Castle Stage and several other smaller stages.
Sunday act Olly Murs is giving fans the chance to meet him ahead of his performance.
The meet and greet will take place before he graces the stage and it has been called an ‘ideal opportunity’ for fans by Victorious organisers.
