Hopefully you are all suitably stuffed from your Christmas dinners and ready to get back out there to party hard and burn those calories.
This week is the time to celebrate the end of 2013 and look forward to welcoming 2014 with a bang.
As most people are off work until January, don’t stay in. Visit places like the Barn for Fever tonight or Perforate featuring Paul Mac tomorrow night. Or head to Gunwarf for Tiger Tiger. Detour to Guildhall for Pop World, The Astoria and the Registry. Or end up in Albert Road for the Wedgewood Rooms, Bar 50 Six and Flamingos Bar.
Love Amplified are pulling out all the stops for New Year’s Eve at the Astoria. Not only is the club open from 10pm until 7am, they have also managed to get Defected In The House.
Not one but four huge DJs from the Defected label. Celebrate in style with DJs Derrick Carter, Nick Curly, Sonny Fodera and Andy Daniell.
The only other place in the whole of the UK you can see the Defected DJs that day will be Ministry of Sound in London and their ticket prices start at £50, so for the Amplified team to have secured such a huge line up at a great entry price it would be silly not to try to get tickets as this doesn’t happen every day.
Standard tickets are £35 available from Resident Advisor, or you can get VIP tickets that include queue jump, gallery access and private bar for £50.
Beware, this will sell out so get tickets ASAP.
The other place I highly recommend is the Registry where you can join the Concrete Music boys for their New Year’s Eve party.
They will have their DJs plus special guests playing the best in house, garage and bass music on the in house function one sound system.
Tickets are £8 in advance from Resident Advisor.
