Last weekend saw the lovely Liz C host Linkz at Flamingos Bar for the very last time, closing the club with a packed out party.
Sadly after an amazing two and a half years, owners Marcos Aranibar and Mark Timmins have decided to go their separate ways as partners.
So I would like to take this opportunity to wish them well as I have been to some brilliant nights at the venue.
Rumour has it a new club will be opening in its place in August...
Starting today thousands of party goers will be evacuating Portsmouth and setting sail for Mutiny Festival at Fontwell Park near Chichester.
There’s a special campers’ party today to kickstart the main music event happening over Saturday and Sunday.
Last year saw Mutiny in the Park take over Victoria Park in Portsmouth, and after a massive success they have gone all out this year to blow your mind and have expanded in a drastic sense to up to a whopping 20,000 people capacity.
This year I have lost track of the vast amounts of local Portsmouth DJs who have sets at this festival.
It is really nice to see that mixed in with some truly astounding headline and support acts, there will be a whole host of familiar faces from all music genres that we all often just pop down the road to see play at a weekend.
Tomorrow you can catch a headline set from none other than Snoop Dogg as well as other acts like Knife Party, Labrinth, Katy B, Mistajam, Artful Dodger, Bontan, Amine Edge & Dance, Idris Elba and Gorgon City.
Or Sunday see the likes of Rebel Sounds, Nero, Maverick Sabre, Toddla T, MK, Hannah Wants and My Nu Leng.
You will also find a Club MTV, Switch and Concrete tent amongst others. Not forgetting the Amplified Mansion House and Garden party.
The event is more than 90 per cent sold out so there is a last-minute chance of tickets.
Saturday day tickets are £45 each, Sunday day tickets £35 each or you can get a weekend ticket for £65.
