CAUTION must be taken for those living by the sea as Storm Bronagh arrives in the Solent, according to Coastguard crews.
As Storm Bronagh gets closer, HM Coastguard Rescue has warned people of the high winds expected – which could reach speeds of over 50mph today.
The news comes after the Met Office described the storm, which arrived last night, as a ‘danger to life’.
Now, the Coastguard is reminding people to be cautious, and to move their cars away from the seafront if possible.
Posting on social media, the Hillhead Coastguard Rescue Team tweeted: ‘With strong winds and heavy seas please take care.
‘Some vehicles have been parking up against exposed sea walls with waves breaking which could lead to damage or worse.'
