PEOPLE are being invited to collect some free plant bulbs to brighten up their area.

Residents groups, community organisations or schools in Fareham can collect them from St Margaret’s nurseries.

They have been supplied by the borough council.

Running from Wednesday until Friday, September 18, people need to show proof of address.

Councillor Tiffany Harper said: ‘Bulbs are one of the easiest plants to grow, and the council have been planting them with the help of the community now for 24 years.

‘I encourage everyone to get involved and make Fareham blooming marvellous.’

Bulbs are on a first-come, first-served basis and sacks are limited to two per group.
