ONE of the 11 fantastic causes set to benefit from The News Comfort and Joy Christmas Campaign is Two Saints.

Based across Fareham and Gosport, the initiative provides sleeping and support arrangements for homeless and vulnerable single people and families in the area.

The cause’s three Fareham hostels – offering a collective 37 beds – provide a safe space for rough sleepers, people battling substance misuse and those looking to become re-integrated into society by finding a safe new home.

Two Saints also offers free drop-in sessions, where workers support service users with issues including disability, eviction, debt and crime.

Rachel Mason is a support worker at the initiative, which has bases in West Street, Gosport Road and Kings Road in Fareham, as well as Forton Road in Gosport.

Urging your donation of a £5 supermarket gift card to Two Saints service users – through the Comfort and Joy campaign, – she said: ‘The potential of this scheme is massive – it helps us make Christmas special for our clients. A donation could have a real impact on the life of a vulnerable person. It could be the difference between them being able to feed their family at Christmas or go into debt. People really can help.’

To support Two Saints, send a £5 supermarket gift voucher inside a Christmas card – in an unsealed envelope – to Deanery Office, St Faith’s Church, Crasswell Street, Portsmouth PO1 1HT.
