Communities fall silent to remember Shoreham crash victims

THERE was due to be a minute’s silence today to pay tribute to the victims of the Shoreham Air Show crash.

Communities across Sussex will be observing the silence at 1.20pm and people from outside the county are also invited to join in.

The silence will mark the time last Saturday when a Hawker Hunter jet crashed on to the A27, killing 11 people.

Daniel Humphreys, leader of Worthing Borough Council, said: ‘I would urge people to observe a minute’s silence either at a local event or as they go about their normal day.’
