PEOPLE are invited to a Muslim community event next week.

Worshippers will be breaking their fast at the Iftar event, being held at the Oasis Centre, in Arundel Street, Portsmouth.

The event is an opportunity for people to learn more about why Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan.

Muslims, non-Muslims, the homeless, asylum seekers and refugees are all welcome.

Organisers said it was ‘an occasion that calls for togetherness’.

The free event takes place between 8.45m and 10pm on Tuesday.
