A man who admitted assault has been ordered to do unpaid work.

Duncan Snellgrove, of Trinity Green, Gosport, pleaded guilty to assaulting John Crook by beating him at the block of flats on September 26.

He was ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work and pay 50 compensation to Mr Crook by Portsmouth magistrates.

The 22-year-old was also given an 18-month community order.
