TWO water companies will be battling each on the football pitch to raise money for charity.

Portsmouth Water and Southern Water will be going head to head in aid of the Rainbow Centre, in Fareham.

Company directors and staff will be testing their football prowess in the hope of taking the glory.

The match takes place on Wednesday, September 10 at 5.30pm at Otterbourne FC, near Winchester.

Retired footballer Nicky Banger, who played for Southampton, Torquay United, Oldham Athletic and Oxford United, will be acting as referee.

Southern Water’s mascots Mr Drink It and Mr Save It will be there too, and Mr Save It is hoping to live up to his name in a penalty shoot-out.

Spectator tickets cost £2, which will go towards the Rainbow Centre, which supports children and adults with cerebral palsy and adults suffering from MS, stroke, head injury.
