PLANS to start computer games ‘incubators’ at universities have been backed by an academic at the University of Portsmouth.

Games developer network TIGA wants the programme to support creative enterprises and boost links between tech start-ups and academia.

University of Portsmouth lecturer Dr Mark Eyles said: ‘This initiative will complement existing university incubation schemes and enable outreach to non-student start-ups.’
