YOUNGSTERS went bonkers for conkers at an annual competition in Sarisbury Green.
The Friends of Holly Hill held a conker championship at the weekend at the Holly Hill Woodland Park.
Youngsters and adults competed to be the winner of the coveted conker trophy.
The event took place on Saturday, despite the gloomy weather and showers which threatened the challengers.
Dave Munday, the treasurer of the Friends of Holly Hill, said: ‘Everybody had a good time.
‘We got caught out by the weather a bit with some showers and it got a bit muddy.
‘But everyone still enjoyed themselves and we’re just looking forward to next year now.’
The winner on the day was seven-year-old Jack Kennedy, who won a trophy and a plate with his name inscribed on it.
