A CHOIR is now calling a community centre home with its own recording studio and booth installed.

The Fine Voice Academy is now based at St Cuthbert’s Centre, off Lichfield Road, Copnor.

Offering one-to-one, group classes and choir training, the academy occupies the whole first floor of the centre’s refurbished building alongside the recording studio and booth.

Founder Simon Long, who studied in Italy, said: ‘We are committed to our students learning to sing in a correct, safe and informative way and will help them to discover and perform a wide range of music.

‘The Fine Voice Academy aims for the St Cuthbert’s Centre venue to become a centre of musical excellence; offering a path of musical study in preparation for higher education while also providing high quality recreational singing and performances.’

The group will be performing at the St Cuthbert’s Church Christmas Tree Festival on December 2 and Christmas in the Park at Fratton Park on December 13.
