HUNDREDS of residents have benefitted from a funding scheme designed to make their homes cosier.
The Cosy Havant scheme has now wrapped up, with all £2.9m given by the Department of Energy and Climate Change allocated to residents across Havant borough.
The money has helped hundreds of residents improve the energy-efficiency of their homes by offering them cash back for installing new boilers, insulation, solar panels and taking other energy-saving steps.
The council’s cabinet lead for planning, economic development and the built environment, Councillor David Guest, said: ‘The energy-saving Cosy Havant scheme has been a massive success and has exceeded all our expectations.
‘Anyone interested in future schemes should still get in contact with us, as they will be put onto a waiting list and contacted as soon as more funding is secured.’
