Councillor up for national award

A COUNTY councillor has been shortlisted for a national award following a nomination.

Liz Fairhurst, cabinet member for adult social care and health at Hampshire County Council, was nominated in the Technology and Digital category for the LGiU & CCLA’s Councillor Achievement Awards 2018, by Havant MP Alan Mak.

The councillor helped to introduce assistive technology to improve the adult social care the council can provide to residents.

The awards are designed to recognise the work of councillors across the country on behalf of their local communities.
