County council reminder of services for domestic abuse victims

A COUNCIL is reminding people of the services available for victims of domestic abuse.

During this year’s 16 Days of Action Against Domestic Violence campaign, which started on Saturday, Hampshire County Council is reminding people affected of the help it can provide.

The Integrated Domestic Abuse Service for Hampshire offers confidential support to women, men and children.

The council’s executive member for public health, Councillor Patricia Stallard, said: ‘Domestic abuse has far-reaching effects on individuals, families and whole communities.

‘Because of its complexity, it cannot be tackled in isolation, so it’s critical we and our partner agencies work closely together to help address the issue.’

Those affected can call 03300 165 112.
