A POPULAR open garden event is returning to Locks Heath.

Keith and Teri Sandy will be reopening their garden at 9 Cumber Road tomorrow with all proceeds from the day going to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event, which has been run for the past nine years, has seen consistent success, raising £590 last year and £850 in 2014.

Mrs Sandy said: ‘We’ll have a lot of plants on sale, mostly herbaceous perennials but also some vegetables as well – tomatoes and broad beans, for instance.

‘I suppose you could say we’re keen gardeners. But there are so many people with this awful disease, so this is the least we can do to help.’

The couple have previously supported the British Heart Foundation and Help for Heroes. The garden will be open between 10am and 4pm,
