A TWO-day course aims to help people come to terms with sight loss.

Action for Blind People is holding a programme which will give practical and emotional support to visually-impaired people of all ages.

The free Finding Your Feet course will help people with sight problems adjust to sight loss.

It will also get the participants sharing experiences and helping each other.

Lizzie Abnett, from the regional team, said: ‘For any person, sight loss can be devastating.

‘The Finding Your Feet course provides an opportunity for residents in Portsmouth and their families to share information, experiences and emotions with others in a similar situation.

‘Participants realise they’re not alone and that they can adjust to the challenges ahead.’

The two-day course starts on April 25 and is being held at the Holiday Inn, in Pembroke Road, Southsea.

It runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
