A DRIVER was cut out of his car by firefighers when it crashed into another vehicle.

Two crews from Cosham and the special equipment unit were called to Allaway Avenue near the junction of Nailsworth Road, Paulsgrove, at 9.15am on Saturday. The driver of the Rover was freed by firefighters, before he was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, for spinal injuries.

The other driver was treated at the scene.
