FIREFIGHTERS went to put out a lawnmower that caught fire.

The incident happened on Sunday at 6.30pm on the common near Western Parade, Southsea.

Later that day, a crew from Southsea fire station was then called to a false alarm at a property in Albert Road, Southsea at 7.50pm.

Two trucks went to the scene, but found the alarm had been activated by dust and smoke from a heater.
