NINE firefighters tackled a blaze in a garage.

The crew from Southsea station put out the fire involving a fridge freezer and tumble dryer at Paignton Avenue, Copnor, Portsmouth.

It happened at 7.17pm on Tuesday night and it was out by 7.38pm. The crews then returned to their station.

Two breathing apparatus and a hose reel were used.

No-one was reported injured in the fire.
