POLICE are hunting thieves who stole a £15,000 painting.

The work, by artist Victor Vasarely, is of yellow and purple cubes or diamonds.

It was given to the owner, who is aged in her 40s, by her parents who knew the artist personally.

The painting was taken from a home in Havelock Road, Southsea, between March 5 and March 11.

Police say there were no signs of forced entry to the property.
