DRINK-DRIVER Norjahan Begum has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Begum pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen Polo in Southampton Road, Titchfield, after drinking too much on February 25.

A test revealed the 32-year-old’s breath contained 62 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35mg.

Begum, from Maryat Way, Whiteley, was fined £100 by Fareham magistrates.

She was told to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £85 in court costs. Begum was banned from driving for 16 months. She also admitted driving the car without a valid licence. However no separate penalty was imposed.
