Airline abuse case in court

A MAN who verbally abused an airline steward has appeared in court.

Matthew Cook, 29, admitted being drunk in an aircraft, using threatening/abusive or insulting words and causing racially aggravated harassment/alarm or distress, on the August 22 flight to Gatwick.

Cook, of Lingwood Close, Southampton, also admitted criminal damage, assault, making a threat to kill and cannabis possession. He will be sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court on January 22.
