A man driving a white Volkswagen van stopped, wound his window down slightly and asked the girl if she wanted a lift home.

He is described as having tattoos down one arm and was wearing a bright orange construction work top. Police are investigating.

Crookhorn College has advised its pupils to walk home in pairs wherever possible and to report any incidents directly to the college or to their parents so police can be informed.

If you have any information in relation to the incident on Tuesday afternoon, call police on 101.
