A LAPTOP and a Nintendo DS have been stolen from a Gosport home.

Police are appealing for information following the incident.

A 53-year-old man was at his home in Sapphire Close when he heard noises from downstairs.

He went downstairs to let the cat out and discovered that the laptop and a Nintendo DS had been stolen.

Police believe the burglar or burglars got in through an unloked door.

PC Phillip Hall, said: ‘There might have been a few people in the area, perhaps returning after a night out. Did you see anyone acting suspiciously? Have you been offered a laptop or Nintendo DS for sale within the last few days?

‘As always, I would advise residents to make sure doors and windows are locked at all times.’

The burglary happened last Friday between 3.05am and 3.25am.

Anyone with information should call PC Hall at Fareham police station on 101, or call Crimestoppers, the charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
