DETECTIVES investigating an assault in which a man was left partially blinded have made an arrest.

The 28-year-old victim had been on a night out with friends around Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth, when he was attacked while walking home.

As reported, he was assaulted in Hampshire Terrace at about 2am on Saturday, October 30.

After an appeal in The News, a 28-year-old man from Portsmouth was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of wounding with intent. He was bailed until March 9 pending further inquiries.
