Hampshire schools warned after fraudsters steal up to £10,000 in email scam

A MAN has been arrested after a burglary at a sheltered housing complex.

Hampshire police said a burglary took place in Sydenham Court, in Berkshire Close, Landport, in the early hours of November 22.

Now a man from Portsmouth has been arrested and is being quizzed by officers.

A Hampshire police spokeswoman said: ‘Officers investigating a burglary in Sydenham Court in the early hours of last Wednesday have made an arrest.

‘A 34-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling with intent to steal and burglary dwelling and theft.

‘He remains in police custody at this time.’
