Arrests after ‘missiles’ thrown on pitch at Pompey match

Two people were arrested after objects were thrown on to the pitch at a Pompey match.

Thames Valley Police started an investigation at the MK Dons v Pompey game on Saturday at Stadium MK.

Two men were arrested for throwing a missile onto a football playing area, a police spokesman said.

A 45-year-old man, from Havant, was arrested but was released without charge after the match, which saw Pompey win 2-1.

:: George Chambers, 21, of Michael Crook Close, Bedhampton, was charged and is due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on 26 February.
