THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, failing to stop for police, grievous bodily harm and supply of cannabis following an incident at a house.
It is alleged that the men, all from London, forced their way into the property in Collyer Avenue in Bognor Regis, at around 4.45pm on Friday, and stabbed a 22-year-old man in the hand before leaving with what later turned out to be cannabis plants.
Detective Sergeant John Kalli for West Sussex CID said ‘quick intelligence work’ and ‘swift action by local road traffic officers’ aided in the arrests as the trio attempted to flee in their car.
The man who was stabbed was taken to hospital for treatment, discharged and arrested for production of cannabis.
He has been bailed until April 25.
